About us

Who we are

In 2016, the Bishop of Portsmouth invited a team from St Peter’s Brighton to plant a church in Portsmouth, with a specific focus on reaching young people. Since then, we’ve grown to become a church with three locations in Portsmouth: Gunwharf, Copnor, and City. We’ve also helped to plant new thriving church communities in Cardiff, Torbay, Gosport and the Isle of Wight.

As an Anglican Church in the Church of England, we are part of the Diocese of Portsmouth. Our trustees form the Parochial Church Council of Harbour Church Portsmouth. We are a registered charity no. 1202572

What
we do

Our vision is to play our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the church, and the transformation of society. We do this through Sunday services, Groups, gatherings for Youth and Young people, courses such as Alpha and the Marriage Course, Tots and Toddlers groups, Bridge the Gap and so much more. Our Love Your Neighbour team take the lead in serving the city through Foodbank, Safe Harbour (weekly cooked meal for anyone who needs it) and our Silva ministries which encompass our work with women in the city.
